We’ve asked this week’s curator Capella Kincheloe of Capella Kincheloe Interior Design, to share with us her thoughts and inspiration for her Curator’s Collection event. Here’s what she had to say:

When I design a space, there have to be two things before it’s complete; a sense of history and a global touch. Anything less would feel incomplete, rooms would look too new, too un-lived in. The inspiration for this sale is a well-travelled life: shopping in the antique markets of Paris and the bazaars of Turkey, travelling to exotic locales and bringing back treasures. These are the spaces I am drawn to, collections of pieces and furniture from journeys around the globe. But you don’t need to lead a jet-set life to have a home that looks like you do!
To get the look of a global traveller, you can have Venetian mirrors or pillows from Africa delivered to your front door without ever stepping outside of your home. The pieces that I have curated for this sale work well together – whether the style originated in Europe or South America, they are pieces for your tabletop and for your living room. You will be surprised how well a Navajo rug or an Asian chest can fit into your existing design. Elements from my Curator’s Collection are the key to creating a layered, collected, and artfully blended space infused with worldly chic.
