Thoughts From Our Curators: Elise Jones and Mae Hacking of Here In This House

We’ve asked this week’s curators Elise Jones and Mae Hacking  of Here In This House, to share with us their thoughts and inspiration for their Curator’s Collection event. Here’s what they had to say:

Here in This House is our little corner of the world where design and reality collide. We started this blog as on outlet for our creative and artistic pursuits which naturally translated into the way we decorated our homes. As we dove into home ownership without a design road map, we found ourselves searching for ways to incorporate what we owned, what we admired and what we aspired to have for our homes. There are so many fabulous resources available for interior design, we want to make sure that everyday home owner knows what, when, why and how to make the most of their style and their home.

Our collection for Joss & Main is based off the theme of channeling your inner kid. This collection brings out the fun in our homes. The pieces we have selected recreate what stimulated us as a kid: colors, fun, whimsy, innocence and imagination. It encourages us as adults to inject some fun into our home in unexpected (or forgotten) ways. These products include fun colors and oversized pieces of furniture, artsy products, creative use of objects and simple, clean functional design! Go ahead, have fun!
