We’ve asked this week’s curator Kirsten Krason of 6th Street Design School, to share with us her thoughts and inspiration for her Curator’s Collection event. Here’s what she had to say:

I have always been drawn to interiors that make a statement. To me, a room needs to have personality and reflect the style and taste of the people who live in it. This is achieved by finding items that speak to you and that you can’t live without. Often this requires that we leave our comfort zones and venture out into the unknown for a little bit. Do something brave and I promise you won’t regret it.
During the holidays we often gravitate towards reds and greens, but not this year! Let’s be brave with our homes this winter season! My “Bold Winter Brights” collection infuses colors such as blue, orange, and yellow with white accents. I’ve picked items that will surprise your guests this holiday season. Mix up your usual holiday decor with bold patterns and bright colors. The items in my curator’s collections are a mix of my favorite products for the home. Everyone needs a statement rug, a lamp that demands attention, pillows that bring life to a room with pattern, and a few quirky accessories to get people talking.
